April 11 is officially the earliest I've EVER had to start the year's mowing!

Over the past week, or so, my grass started growing like gangbusters. I still have the back lot to take care of, but the ground is still a little too squishy, back there.

I was hoping for an 'early Spring', so I certainly can't complain. Besides, I LOVE the aroma of fresh cut grass.

And you are spot on - it felt wonderful to be outside in the fresh air, doing something productive.

Since the temperatures are heading back into the 50's, maybe the growth will slow down, again. I remember that last year I didn't start mowing until some time in May. But, if it doesn't slow, my mowers are ready to go. As am I.

Getting out there and doing something normal and concentrating on my rows felt really good.

It's been over 3 weeks since I've been anywhere but my house and yard. I'll have to head up to Aldi, next week, to buy enough to get me through the rest of the month, and probably a few weeks beyond. I have a mask and gloves at the ready.

Truth be told, I expect we will be living cautiously for quite a while into the future.

Mine is extraordinarily high compared to surrounding counties. As I've posted we worked for it. Idiots have deliberately defied Gretchens orders. Infuriating.

and this is the first year that some places were not affected by frost. Skitters are gonna be horrid this year. When will we find out that "THEY" can carry the covid-19 virus?

We were at 70, earlier in the week, and then the temperatures took a nose dive. Right now we're just at 54, but the sun is out, the grass was high, and I was eager to feel normal, again.
