(9,637 posts)I've been in self-isolation since March 1st. So keep that in mind.
Days in a row eating toast, peanut butter and jelly for breakfast. 42
Days in a row not wearing underwear. 14
(No one sees me but me. Why wear them? Less to wash. Should have figured this one out weeks ago.)
Days in a row sporting Bed Head. 10
(Can't get water in my ears. I get vertigo. So I put off washing my hair for as long as is humanly possible. Thank God for ski caps.)
Days of trying to catch up with all of the recordings on my DVR. 42 ( I'm going to lose this battle.)
Days in a row trying to order toilet paper on Costco.
21 (Finally lucked out and got 36 rolls! Score!)
Days in a row wearing bedroom slippers all day long. 42
Days in a row eating chocolate. 18,250 ( guesstimate, based on turning into a chocoholic at about the age of 10)

(8,196 posts)I don't have as strong a record regarding chocolate as you do, but Mr. Femmedem and I have taken to eating one square of chocolate after dinner every night since this ended. Small pleasures will see us through.

(9,637 posts)I was sick at the beginning of March so neighbors did some shopping for me. I had only been able to eat chicken soup for about two weeks. And they brought me sliced turkey and smoked gouda cheese. So I made myself a turkey sandwich. I actually got up and stomped my feet on the ground with excitement. I never tasted anything that was so good in my entire life!
I hope we can all keep this sense of the things that really matter. I know that before all of this happened, I sat here looking at my house, wanting to spend a bunch of money fixing it up. I don't have a bunch of money, but I still wanted to do things. Now? Not so much. Now I would rather spend some money going and visiting family and friends.
The house is fine just the way it is. Family and friends are priceless.
