A lone bell in the night

Last edited Sun Apr 12, 2020, 02:59 AM - Edit history (1)

It's a misty, foggy cool San Francisco night. A light rain is falling. The city lights are reflecting a dull grey glow up onto the overcast sky. The streets are empty; the city is deserted.

Somewhere off in the hills, a lone church bell is ringing. It's 9:30 at night. I go up to the roof to soak it all in.

The bell punctuates the night, ringing out for the dead, the dying, and those who help them. The bell also carries a message of hope, linking all it reaches.

...combined with an SF disaster film. Lovely and atmospheric. But that's the world we're actually living in...let's hope the film has a happy ending...
