Of course I know Bruce Wayne is Batman. What kind of cop would I be if I didn't know. It is a convenient fiction to allow him to continue his vigilante ways.

In some versions Lois knows and is even married to Clark. When Doomsday killed Superman, a rival commented on how Lois must be unfaithful to Clark because of the way she reacted to Superman being killed (thus missing the more obvious conclusion).

In one issue Superman explains that he also lets a curl in the front fall down onto his forehead when Superman.

So many characters are around super heroes and their alter egos, that it defies belief that those close to them don't know the secret even with a mask.

I guess in Superman's case I would argue that not only with his Physics breaking powers, he also can alter perception. The reader sees the same face for both characters, but everyone else see two different faces. It is weak of course.
