(17,984 posts)That was all I could find, but then found Kroger brand. I hate the smell of Clorox. Have not used it for years.

(46,705 posts)I'm already planning to get my stencils out and intentionally bleach out designs. Maybe even use tape for geometrics.

(9,722 posts)My wife and I have a friend that uses bleach to clean almost anything. She ruined her pontoon boats bimini (canvas shade over the rear). Put it out on her driveway and scrubbed the everliving a color out of it. The threads never made it bleach ate right through.
We made her a t-shirt with I (Heart) bleach. Made a stencil of the word bleach and let the edges run dripping. It fell apart in a couple years but she loved it.
Get going Ill bet there is a big market. Its Safe! Its Bleached! Bleach Be My Buddy

(102,275 posts)It is more a problem at stronger concentrations than the recommended 200-300 ppm (1 tbsp to a gallon of water) but mixing it up is a splash risk and some of the wet wipes have more.
I'm not trying to call you out for not knowing, but I'd like to make sure you and others know that you can NOT mix the bleach in a spray bottle that contained or after using an ammonia-containing product. Otherwise, CL gas is liberated, which can be deadly. READ LABELS, folks.

(15,805 posts)Use diluted bleach and paint brushes to create an artistic design or pattern, a name, or try it with a stencil. Add fabric paint, pretty lace inserts, slits and frayed rips, stick on jewels and crystals, appliques, Bedazzel is fun, embroidery, glitter paint, grommets with leather laces, and maybe some geometric cutouts will give you a whole new look.
There's lots interesting if ways to change the way those bleach spots look.

(115,692 posts)with other chemicals the hard way. When we were in high school we were fooling around with some kind of experiment just for fun and mixed a mildew remover with bleach - and we were suddenly greeted with a strong odor of swimming pools. Realizing what we had wrought, we took the stuff outside ASAP and opened all the windows.
Oops.

(2,302 posts)I recently found Windex Multi Surface Disinfectant Cleaner. It's yellow, actually safer to use on countertops, and even my daughter in Brooklyn found some locally. Didn't want to use a bleach product on my dark granite.

(115,692 posts)but I don't care because nobody sees me. Maybe you could spatter your clothes with more bleach for a nice polka-dot effect. Nobody is going to see you anyhow.

(14,491 posts)If you spray (or over-spray) the stuff on your faucets or valves in the kitchen or bath, it will ruin the rubber seals in those devices. Chlorine-based products cause common rubbers used for seals to swell.
I speak from painful experience, as a good friend years ago liked to use Clorox Cleanup in her kitchen sink regularly and she damaged her fancy sink faucet. I had to replaces all the seats and seals. After researching the issue, I found there's only a few specialized rubbers like Viton that are compatible with bleach.
Be careful and avoid those calls to plumbers.......

(14,491 posts)Try spraying some lubricating spray and see if it breaks loose. I think some sprays like Clean-up also contain detergents.
The vapors from those sprayers really do carry far.......
