Fake coughing and approaching people

I have to take the dog out several times/day because we live in a downtown apartment. Although there are many fewer people on the street than normal, there are still some, particularly later in the day.

I stay away from people. I'll cross the street to avoid passing near someone who looks like they won't move over on the sidewalk to keep distance. But yesterday was weird and I wonder if it's becoming a game with some younger people to see if they can get a reaction.

Two situations yesterday. Snowy and I were stopped so she could sniff a tree. I moved close to her so that a number of people walking together would have space to walk by. All of a sudden I sense someone walk right up to me from the other direction and start saying grrrrr. I turn as this person walks right by and then he turns back and grins at me, like that was funny.

Later, I hear coughing. Look around to pinpoint who it is so I can avoid it. One in a group of teenagers walking my way. Snowy and I cross the street. Coughing continues and then laughing from all of them. No more coughing as they go on their way.

Is this becoming a game to freak people out by deliberately coughing or passing right next to someone? Anybody else had this experience?

discreetly take a photo and share it with store management? Perhaps they'll pass it around and escort that woman out of the store when she shows up. If you use social media, post her photo as well?

he laughed...I reported it to the security guard...he laughed ... and then I went on yelp and gave the store a scathing review...and that's all I can do..there's reason my city is a current hot spot...

I have also had luck reporting issues to Kroger's home office. The store manager called to apologize and he actually fixed the problem.

9. I'm trying to understand the issue - someone sprayed their hands with the store's veggie sprayer? .

Something a bit strange, but not particularly dangerous. Shaking the excess water onto the veggies, yeah, that's not good.

If you on youtube or some of the other sites, there is probably some kind of cough challenge. Disgusting if that turns out to be true...

usually getting the shit beaten out of them. Or, in severe cases, being taken out and killed.

It's been my opinion for many years that a whole lot of folks need a beating, but no one listens to me.

in the pharmacy store where I work, expecting a laugh.

It was April Fool's Day, and he was the biggest fool I encountered. I made it very clear to him how unfunny and unwelcome his "humor" was. His girlfriend jumped on him, too.

Usually, what I get from young people who don't appropriately distance themselves is a shrug, and "if I get it, I get it." I point out that if they get it, their friends and relatives might get it from them, too. This often seems to come as a surprise to them.

I've seen some thoughtful, cautious ones, too.

We did stupid, obnoxious stuff when we were kids too But this is more serious. They think it's a game and they're immune.

I still remember one very stupid thing I did as a teen, and to this day regret it. But I was in a pack and I followed the lead. It was stupid.
