The admins used to have that number to show that the poster had more than 1000 posts. Now, they've returned to showing the actual post count.

A lot of people saw the 1000+ as a sign that the poster was no longer a n00b...

So this is way better than a +1, or +10, or even +100.

At the end of the year, you can total up the number of + x# of comments you got throughout the year and submit to the administrators for a chance to win valuable prizes.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.

Tell me more...
