My dear friend, Laureen, made these face masks... They have stupid, idiotic quotes from Donald Trump since January... I just got mine in the mail. They are aweseome. Laureen's mother AND grandmother both passed away last week due to COVID-19 in Coney Island Hospital while Laureen was quarantined in Philadelphia, PA. And, she was struggling to speak with them before they passed... She designed these before they died, but I am going to wear mine as an assertive aggressive statement. "Fuck you, Donald Trump." I can no longer be cavalier about COVID-19... It has devastated someone I know and love. If you can please support her and buy one or two... They are awesome.

1. I would probably buy one, but two issues

The first is that now that I've got fitted masks, I'm not a fan of gaiters. The second issue is that they're 95% polyester, which is a deal breaker.

But great idea.

2. Yeah... I didn't know what a "gaiter" was...

Right now, I'm healthy... I just wear something on my face because it's a new social symbol of respect it seems.

... to not enforce the rule would be to open the door to a lot of similar posts. I guess I'd be OK with letting this one stand but alerting post #2 and #3, if they should appear.

4. I asked the DU admins a while ago...

... They told me to go for it when she made a shirt for RAICES last year... This is not spam. It's not her "business" .. But, her outlet.

I'm simply sharing something that gave me some joy at this particular moment, and from someone creative who makes things that my fellow DU members might like.

I appreciate your opinion, and want to respect the DU community that I've been member of for the last 20 years.
