...So today..I found out this looks like a dishonest organization...Here is what I found from Wikepdia:
_________Criticism: Go to this address and check it out if you want, look for criticism:
..........................................https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kars4Kids
The organization has been criticized for inadequately disclosing its Jewish educational work.[45][46] In 2009, Joy for Our Youth paid $65,000 in fines in Pennsylvania;[47] while Kars4Kids paid $65,000 in fines in Oregon[48] in settlements reached with the respective state attorneys general as a result of their contention that the organization had to more clearly state that the beneficiaries were of a "certain religious affiliation." In Oregon, the attorney general added that Kars4Kids failed to disclose that its offer of a "free vacation" for vehicle donors was designed to recruit people to attend timeshare presentations.[48]
In 2017, the Minnesota Attorney General conducted a compliance review and submitted a 300-page report to the Internal Revenue Service. The report found that only 44% of funds raised by Kars4Kids went to good works, and most of that money had gone to its sister organization Oorah, whose near-exclusive focus on New York and New Jersey meant only one Minnesota child was believed to have benefited from one of its programs in the years 20122014. The report also revealed the charity had invested in a Ponzi scheme, in addition to losing $9.27 million from real estate projects controlled by the second cousin of the Kars4Kids chief executive officer.[49]
Please read last sentence paragraph 1: In Oregon, the attorney general added that Kars4Kids failed to disclose that its offer of a "free vacation" for vehicle donors was designed to recruit people to attend timeshare presentations.[48]
Paragraph 2; ..."...only 44% of funds raised raised by Kars4Kids went to good works. " The report also revealed the charity had invested in a Ponzi scheme, and losing 9.27 million from real estate projects controlled by second cousin of the Kars4Kids chief executive officer..."

Conclusion: This charity is not totally honest. Donate to another charity & put this charity out of business.
also....If the 2017 Minnesota report is correct, 44% is a very low amount going to "good works" Who are you going to believe? .. the Minnesota Attorney General ? or a charity that invests in a Ponzi Scheme? (also, I have no problem with religious connections. Lot's of charities have such connections)
Today, Wednesday, 4/22/20...I heard the commercial again. That means that this charity is still in business trying to raise money. If the charity is dishonest, then it needs to be out of business..It is a nice tune, but the people who run this charity are not nice. Thank You for reading this.

(38,414 posts)That is all that ads are supposed to do. I really hate organizations that have background of conning people, in what ever way that the organization cons. That reminds me of Trump, and that says a whole lot.

(43,049 posts)Orthodox schul. The "charity" is simply funding for hebrew education in one or two specific schools. Funding for education is fine, but not hiding that it is very specific religious education.
I hear them all the time on Sirius and it drives me off the road.
