Not only that, I listened to my mother's old 78s. I knew all the words to Mule Train and half the words of Schnitzelbank (in German). It's a folk song where the list grows by one item each time the chorus is sung (like The House that Jack Built or The 12 Days of Christmas).

We also had the soundtrack of South Pacific - on a set of 45s.
