Raining, self isolating... today's tasks so far

wife and I listening to the great podcast "This Podcast Will Kill You", working through latest episodes on COVID.

batch of refrigerator strawberry jam from last year's frozen berries

batch of yogurt in progress

batch of no knead bread rising

a good morning, getting indoor shit done with gardening activities rained out.

Hope all are having a good day!

great stuff! as long as it's not too cold, walking in the rain can be really therapeutic NRaleighLiberal Apr 2020 #5

Yelling at my Repuke congresscritter's office.
Calling the unemployment number that never answers.
Trying to get on the unemployment website that crashes.
Calling about not having water (broken water main).

Swearing a lot.

May we see you for the next 50,000 posts, in good health and spirits too, and perhaps on more road trips.

will make my wife/my income this year really easy to calculate. Hardly anything at all! (between the move and COVID, she is not doing any memory/Tshirt quilts, me no talks.). Lots of this year's hosts are inviting me next year around the same time. Hoping things are safe by then.

thanks for your post!

A few weeks ago I got soaked. I've lost a bunch of weight and while I was out there, it dawned on me that I had an excellent set of rain gear I'd bought about 25 years ago. Forgot all about it since I had been too fat to wear it for so long. I dug that out and was totally rain proof today, walking along singing "Cinderella Man" by Rush to myself.

Now getting set to bake my first whole ham. I'm also looking forward to making my first big batch of split pea and ham soup to freeze and stash. All that ham and soup will last me quite awhile.

and should be done in about 6 hours. Soaked the beans overnight to reduce the side effects of gas (farts). Sauteed onions, celery, carrots, garlic - threw in several Bay leaves & chunks of ham, and a little "Better than Bouillon" chicken base, water. Gonna' make banana nut bread later with some ripe bananas. I'm trying not to throw out any old food. Reminds of when I was a youngun' in a very large family.

It's a beautiful day here today so I'll go pick some strawberries and check to see if I have any "Early Girl" tomatoes ready to be picked.

Still struggling to start a new routine. I battled though establishing my old fitness routine and it was working well for my old self, now plan B.

I put a few seeds in the ground, yesterday, so they can catch the rain we're going to have. The rest are indoors in starter cups germinating.

Today it's rearrange the front room for summer.
