The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsOn the correct Usage of word "jackshit."
For example, if I am saying that a public figure doesnt know anything about a subject. Which is correct:
1. The Dotard knows jackshit about medicine.
2. The Dotard doesnt know jackshit about medicine.
Now it seems to me that the second choice can be construed as a double negative. The word itself, jackshit, refers to nothing. If I add in the word doesnt, that seems to be a double negative.
What do you think?
