Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsThe plants are way early this year.
Now some of the roses are in full bloom in the DC area.
Unfortunately, so are the dandelions.

(115,606 posts)Nothing is in bloom except scilla and a few crocuses and tulips, and my pear tree is just starting. The apple trees and the cherry tree have buds but I don't expect them to bloom for another week.

(17,471 posts)are almost a month ahead of average growth. I will be eating and canning blueberries in three weeks. My other fruit trees are doing terribly, they flowered too soon and didn't get pollinated. No Plums, no Pears, no Loquat this year. I might make a good batch of Calamondin but it is iffy.

(4,588 posts)Someone down the road has a redbud, a white dogwood, a deep salmon pink dogwood, and a lighter shade of pink flowering tree (dogwood or cherry?) planted near each other. The colors looked fabulous together, while they lasted.
Our iris are in heavy bloom and covered with more buds. Its way more than usual. They look so good! I love all the early spring blossoms, only wish they lasted longer.
