Whew! Just finished a seven-patient slate of COVID-19 tests.

Seven in a row.

I know the emergency-care and urgent-care providers have it a lot worse right now. Today is the first time I really felt like I was on the 'front lines'.

My team did a great job of getting the patients evaluated one after the other. Some had acute, non-specific symptoms, for which they were treated. Now we wait for the results...

How long is it taking to get back results from your testing source?

Just curious as to the lag between when tests are given and actual numbers.

I understand a test is being developed that reduces wait time to forty-five minutes.

I hope the specificity and sensitivity of the tests can be confirmed soon, so we can start using it.

Swab looked to be in nasal cavity~4-5 inches deep, swab itself looked about 8 in long, am I right?

Swab had to go in deep, past the turbinates, to the choana right?

Any gaggers? Cause I would.

Thanks

A guy in his forties squirmed and twisted, and finished with tears in his eyes.

I can attest that it's not a comfortable fifteen or so seconds.
