How can I find a thread by the user's name here on DU?

Someone made a post about V.P. possibilities and I want to get back to it. I have their DU user name. How can I find this post?

1. Maybe click on their name and see if it's in their Journal?

Or, Google their user name. That often brings up their DU posts.

3. My suggestion... sort the forum by author. n/t

4. Search box in upper right corner of window

enter the user name and maybe a few key words. The more specific the words, the better.

It will filter for those things and find the pages you are looking for.

5. I think (not sure) that the Advanced Search under Site Search shows up for Star members only,

both are in the upper right hand corner, Site Search above, Advanced search below it. I don't remember seeing Advanced Search before I became a Star member.


If I select Advanced search and then put in the user's name and select all posts, I'll get a list and I've found threads that way.

If you remember what day you viewed it, you might recognize it in the history. That has worked for me.
