Somewhere...

over the rainbow...

I turned around from watching the pot of rice simmering on the stove for Snowy's dinner and saw this brilliant rainbow after a brief shower. It changed my mood instantly. The song--Over the Rainbow-- is about hope.

What would you hope to find?

I don't care about a pot of gold, but I can tell you my hope would be for the citizens of this country to overwhelmingly vote Democratic in November and to go forward building a true 21st Century culture in the United States that is based upon equality, community, compassion and respect for reason and science.

The colors are so vibrant. And I love that I can see it touch the ground.

I'm with you on what you hope for.

I grabbed both my phone and camera. This shot was on my camera and I think the colors are more true than what I got on the phone.

Is that the ocean out there on the horizon? What a glorious view.

I'm 17 floors up, so it's a very nice view. Floor to ceiling windows in the entire apartment.

I once worked in a 52 story building. Never higher than the 14th floor though. Loved the view we had of Boston overlooking the Charles River and MIT.

It was pretty weird when we had low cloud cover or fog and you couldn't see the street below.
