(7,947 posts)I guess this one was about the motorcycle.
A friend of mine had an early Honda car- I mean, when they first started being imported-- and it was tiny, and I think it had just a motorcycle engine, though my friend might just have been joking about that.

(27,757 posts)I bought it so I could resell it for a profit. (Helped pay my way through college by buying & selling cars)
The body was cherry & it had a Muncie 4 speed, but the engine leaked.
I sold it to a stock car driver who didn't care about the engine, only the body.
He said he was going to fiberglass the front end and drop a new Chevy engine in it & race it.
I think the fastest car I ever had was a VW Beetle with a Porsche engine in it.
That car was fast!

(27,757 posts)In high school I knew a guy (friend of a friend) who's mom bought him a brand new 1963 Chevy 409 after his dad died & left money; but since she needed to use it too, it didn't have a 4-speed
but instead it was an automatic.
I still was extremely jealous of him, getting a brand new Chevy Impala 409, and got to go for a ride in it once.
Later, when I was in college, I bought a '55 Chevy with a 409 engine in it (+ a Muncie 4-speed) but sold it to a stock car racer who dumped the engine, fiberglassed the front end and put in a new engine (not sure what size)
(If I had kept that '55 Chevy, I would have gotten some speeding tickets)
