I had a jungle fowl (the ancestors of domestic chickens) named Blackie because he was a black chick surrounded by yellow chicks.

I was close to him like she is to Barth ,Blackie went with me everywhere and he'd fall asleep in my arms and tuck his head in my armpit,and nose whistle. He had very expressive red eyes.

Blackie attacked my father for threatening to hit me. He had 4 inch spikes on his ankles. Never hurt me with them. My mom was amazed he never even accidently scraped me.

I loved him so much.

I'm so glad Barth is adored.
He is so adorable himself.
Chickens are awesome freinds.
