"I can't complain but sometimes I still do"

Past 2 or 3 days have been a little rough.

I posted last month I think, about an eye infection in my right eye. That went away. A few days ago, my left eye blew up. Upper eyelid and tear duct near the nose.

Did a virtual appointment on my phone with a nurse practitioner yesterday. She prescribed some drops different than the last time, and now the damn eye is swollen shut.

Took temp twice today. It normally runs low, like 96.9-97.3. It's 98.5 tonight. A couple of sores also popped up on my gums. Splitting top of the head headache.

Didn't have any other symptoms when I talked to the NP, besides the eye.. She said she could test me for Covid if I want, but while there can be eye symptoms, they are rare.

I'm hoping I didn't pick up something dire. I think everything but the eye might be stressed related...I hope.

I don't know what the hell I would do anyway if things got worse. It would be one of those things where you go to the ER when your body tells you that you better go to the ER.

Can't think of one instance where I would have been exposed to something...I've been ultra cautious.

You people be careful out there. This shit is like the Twilight Zone.

Definitely see your doctor/NP if this doesn't clear up in the next few days. You don't want to take any chances. Take care!

I know it’s scary, I cracked a tooth 3 weeks back and it became infected, had to go in for dental surgery, I was more scared about getting the virus than anything else. What a time for this to happen! But don’t let it get out of hand and get worse on you.
Good luck!

8. Did the new eyedrops have preservative in them?

Some years ago, my eye swelled shut not because of the drops but because of the preservative.

I hope you get the answers you need, and stay safe.

Eye problems are particularly worrisome, and hard to treat on occasion. I hope they get to the bottom of your problem quickly, and it heals even more quickly.

I had the misfortune of having a pigeon poop in my eye about 20 years ago. I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and I never noticed the pigeons nesting above, on the outside deck of a tavern. Right between my forehead and my glasses, a perfectly placed pigeon crap from 20 feet above. Pigeons carry some nasty diseases, and I was lucky to find an ophthalmologist who knew what to do. It took about 3 months to rid my eye of the infection, and I acted on it immediately. I can't imagine if someone just let it go to heal by itself.

Good luck to you, Lucky. Keep us informed of your progress. We're all in this together.

one I can trust. He was my old horse doctor and vet for my cats. Very smart man and way ahead of all the people doctors I had been to. I also now get a nice discount on all of my meds at Tractor Supply thanks to him. I never new they even made a 4 gauge syringe until I went to Tractor Supply. You might even have hoof and mouth illness that migrated to the nose and eye.
Please don't take any chances and find an old fashion large animal doctor. It may be as simple as switching to a dry food if you are now on canned food.
