They told me my stimulus would go out on May the 15th. What the hell? Other people got theirs already. I want to be stimulated... and I want to be stimulated right NOW!!
damn
guess I'll have to just stimulate myself

But seriously, why are they going out so slowly? Is this an alphabetical thing? If you've already gotten your stim, what letter of the alphabet is your last initial?

(27,555 posts)I wonder if they are crosschecking voter registration records with the IRS and theyre only sending checks to repukes!
Sorry there is nothing I would put past them!
I got my direct deposit in the first wave, and my housemate got her check 2 weeks ago. Both of our last names start with S.

(12,785 posts)I have tried about 4 different days burning up my 3 tries. Evidently the IRS has not processed by 2019 return (they did cash the check) and maybe because I made an error on the 2018 they don't like my numbers or their corrected numbers.

(7,419 posts)They are processing taxes and the CARES Act money. I filed taxes in February with direct deposit info and got the CARES money the 7th of May by paper check. Must be chaotic at the IRS. Poor workers...

(55,334 posts)Two times they've caught errors I made in filing, those times in my advantage, and getting my full refund due
The one time I made a mistake when I was really young, they expedited the case quickly and waived the fine.
they're hard-working bureaucrats, not deserving of the malice that our Libertarian and Republican friends throw at them
got mine today in mail, mailed on 8th

(11,222 posts)I gave every one a heads up. Old address aprt manager, the person living in my old aprt, post man at the old aprt, address change. But looks like I didn't catch it in any of the process.

(34,852 posts)So, we put in DD and got it on May 7th
It pretty much covers what we owe the IRS for 2019.
We will probably get refund a for 2020, unless the stock market improves by 1000%
