1. Godzilla would be a welcome relief

Covid-19 is much creepier....that being said, it's a virus and there were ways to handle the spread of a virus. Trump, of course, did NONE of those things, which is why 2020 sux. There is one silver lining: November 3.

2. Godzilla saved us from Mothra and MechaGodzilla!

He is our friend and would probably be smacking down the Orange Blotus...

3. I guess it's probably pretty obvious I've only seen the first Godzilla film

He (or she??) was not pleasant, in the least.

4. Yeah, he did stomp around a lot and smushed some peeps.

But Godzilla was woke up when the US bombed Japan with a nuclear bomb...so he was kind of groggy.

He was created out of the destruction of the Nuclear devastation. In fact, many people believe that Godzilla represented the Nuclear bomb that was dropped. The movie was kind of a national catharsis for the Japanese people.

After the first movie, The Japanese people used Godzilla to fight all sorts of evil Titans. They turned their nemesis into their friend. You might say they embraced the nuclear age and began a cultural rebuilding in order to become the power house they currently enjoy.

Sorry for the movie trivia rant...I love old Japanese films.
