Your entire distinction is invalid

Fruits are a subclass of vegetables. Anything that is a fruit is also a vegetable.

Also, grains are fruits.

Also, hot dogs are sandwiches. As are tacos.

These statements will be completely uncontroversial.

Are, conversely, all vegetables fruits?

Can you provide links to prove such statements? (I don’t need them, but you know, some people.....)

Specifically, fruits are vegetables that contain both seeds and food for those seeds.

Is that because they're 'vegetative matter'?

I agree that many things that some call vegetables (like tomatoes and avocados for example) are clearly also fruits, but ...

I think the confusion is because there are separate 'botanical' and 'culinary' definitions of these terms.
