Would you rather do one thing better than anyone else in the world or many things sufficiently?

As in, would you rather be known worldwide for doing a single thing better than anyone else who has ever done it, or would you rather be content in knowing how to do many things in a sufficient manner without anyone else ever paying special attention to you?

The Greatest or just a Jack (or Jacqueline) of all trades and a master of none?

Having lived a life of Jack of all trades, I'd go with one thing well. Hassler May 2020 #2
Yeah, me, too. I loved knowing how to do tons of things, but it barely paid the rent. nt Nay May 2020 #4

I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.
