She lived to be 15 and knew about 30 signs. My current deafie is twelve now, a Catahoula mix, and my soul mate. They are wonderful pets. I also have a two-year-old hearing rescue whom I love, but I forgot how noisy hearing dogs can be; she barks constantly, so she will be my last hearing dog. It's deafies for me from now on.
