4. One of my cats was like that. His brother would chase the laser pointer for

hours but he figured it out in a couple of minutes and just looked right at me like "really lady? Can we go cuddle now?"

was like that too. She chased the laser for a bit and then sat down and looked at my hand holding the laser with an, “Oh, please” look on her face.

But as for the laser pointer (I don't have one myself) someone mentioned to me once they'd stopped using it after finding out how psychologically frustrating and anxiety-causing it could be for some pets, because there was no satisfying end to the chase. That stayed in my mind ever since, so I use the usual ribbons and balls and stuffed toys. My cat has carried the same toy snake around the house for years... I find it in different places in different rooms every day.
