Original thread-https://www.democraticunderground.com/10181365681
She was discharged yesterday, the scope showed a good sized ulcer, biopsies were taken, and she has been booked for a GI guy next week.
I do not know the biopsy results, but a 10 day delay doesn't worry me.
My sister is staying with her, playing cards, some IPhone game,(!) & they went for a drive this afternoon.
I feel better. Thanks for the support

(22,114 posts)have ID'ed the most serious issues (otherwise they wouldn't have discharged her).
I find it a good sign that your Mom is fussy...that means that they still have life in them to nag/be a mom/etc. My mom was like that too, and I found it ironically enough refreshing (the rest of my sisters and brother did too). Am glad that someone is staying w/ her...
My mom wouldn't let anyone stay w/ her until yet again, another fall. She finally agreed to have my brother stay w/ her for a duration. My brother hadn't moved in yet w/ her, and unfortunately she fell yet again and her injuries this time around were too much (she was outside when she fell and no one discovered her until the following a.m. (we think it was a stroke but not 100% sure)).
My best to you and of course best wishes for your Mom's full recovery!

If we don't get one, my EMT nephew told her he was going to go there, lights& sirens & embarrass her in front of her old ladies in the lobby friend group(pre Corona). She forgot, he stopped by, before work, in his work gear. She hadn't missed since last winter.

(22,114 posts)they are hanging onto every bit of life that they still have, but they need to be aware of their limitations (my Mom didn't really grasp her limitations until too late, a shame). Take care of yourself and it's good to hear from you!
