Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsAre there places to rent window AC units for, like, a weekend?
I need to take my window unit out and clean it thoroughly, including the air passage, and things always take longer than anticipated, especially since there will be lots of disassembly involved. And I don't want my spouse to have to suffer through a night or two without AC. So, does anyone know: can a window AC be rented someplace other than at a rent-to-own store? Like.. you can rent a truck or a lawn mower... can you rent a window AC?
Thanks!

OP
Most years you'd have college kids dumping off microwaves, AC units, minifridges etc

Or, for the cost of renting for a month you can buy one at Walmart.

They have standalone units that would keep your room cool.
If you know someone in the construction trade, they can probably get you a better price than an over the counter price.

often have such units looking for a new home, often at no charge if you can pick it up.

... and somewhat industrial in size.

as they headed home for the summer. Not so much this year.
