Thank you for posting. I am an old birdwatcher and used to plant hummingbird attracting flowers in my garden so I could see them.

My sister (who lives out in remove area of West Texas) keeps hummingbird feeders on her patio. When you sit out there, 10 -15 hummingbirds will soon be buzzing around your head, I guess to check you out. Anyway you can see them, they are amazing little creatures.

I have them at my feeders every year here in Delaware. I’d never seen a nest before. Got a pretty good view with binoculars. Hope I can see the babies fledge.

Two or more male hummers and they do a reenactment of the Battle of Britain.

The Aztecs pictured hummers as an avatar of their war god.

Sad to say, but I once found the battered remains of a hummer under one of our feeders. No other animal but a hummer could have done that. They're just too fast. I think they may have berserker genes.

Thanks for this.

I was so disappointed when I found out that there's only one species of hb east of The Mississippi Rvr.

Though an extra pretty one; Ruby Throated hb.

As a visual artist I love to love at the fascinating, beautiful, wonderous, amazing many things!

It's really nice to watch something so sweet and peaceful to take our minds away from these difficult times we are facing, even for only a few seconds.
