The most unforgettable movie she is in, I think, is the one in which she and her daughter got up close and personal with all the big cats. "Roar!" is the name of that movie. That must have been a truly memorable experience for them, making that movie. As I recall, Melanie Griffith was injured by one of the big cats. I remember a blurb on the DVD box said, "No animals were harmed during the making of this film. 70 actors and crew members were."

And yes, "The Birds" and "Marnie" are really good movies too. I can't think of any other movies Tippi Hedren is in.

9. Tippi has been a wild cat Rescuer for decades.

She runs a sanctuary for them because they can’t be released to the wild.

Also her career was ruined by Alfred Hitchcock because she resisted his fixation advances. He was horrible to her, especially in the making of The Birds. That scene where she is being attacked by the birds was stagehands literally throwing live birds at her. Her terror is real. She suffered from ornithophobia, the fear of birds, which was probably why he did that.

the crows and ravens on my property are wicked... I have a self-serve stand by the road and if I don't put all fresh baked goods, etc. under lock and key the crows will devourer them... they are wicked smart!!
