Well, today was the end of an era. Tara (aka terrorist ) passed away in her sleep laying in her favorite spot, on the John Deere riding mower seat. Yesterday, she looked tired. But still said hi and ate some food. She was twenty plus years old. We placed her in the back yard under a tree.
She is laying next to our munchkin cat who passed last year. RIP champion bug catcher.

(6,733 posts)She had a good long life. It's so hard to lose them even though you know this day will come from the first day you have them.
Peaceful passage dear kitty.

(9,298 posts)Got a funny story from Tara, that she did just last week.
Its 1am, Im up reading, when I hear the roomba turn on. It kind of shocked me, but when I looked up, I saw Tara sitting on top of the roomba, riding it around. I havent laughed that hard in months. Ive seen the video with cats on roombas before, but I always thought they were trained.
Tara wasnt trained, just smart enough to turn it on and enjoy her inner cowboy.
My laughter woke up the rest of the house. Wish I had video.

(10,314 posts)She is gorgeous, like a cat version of our daughter's Catahoula. And a bug catcher too! Our current kitty is like that, more so than others we've had.

(12,126 posts)I have never known a cat that passed away on a John Deere riding mower seat. Here's to Tara and to her passing over to Rainbow Bridge in style. She's looks like she was full of mischief and that's not a bad characteristic to have either. Thinking of you and sending you strength.
