I read 8 books in The Wheel of Time series before I gave up. That story is completely derivative and never ends. It is not worth your time. Save yourself. There are very few books that I will advise people NOT to read. The Wheel of Time series is one of them.

Try Kim Stanley Robinson’s Red Mars, Green Mars, Blue Mars series instead (if you haven’t read them already).
