(86,515 posts)a point where I feel better, mostly. This afternoon I just had a spell of not feeling too good so I tried laying down. Now I'm up and looking at the news I found the big explosion didn't happen but a moderate earthquake did so there's that.
But there seems to be dissipating tension about all this. It's like everyone knows what to do and is resigned to the fact they must now go do it. There are still thousands in the streets all over, the change is here and I'm relieved that it is. Otherwise, I just thank my lucky stars that I am where I am right now. It's two hours to the New Moon and all that goes with it. I'll light a candle and burn some sage and hope for better things for our country and lots of healing.
How are you doing in general? You have an interesting profession and I admire anyone who can do what you do. It must require some serious down time.

(23,302 posts)It rained today.
So I visited a dispensary today and bought an array of edibles since they are legal here. It was really fun...I learned a lot, asked a ton of questions and look forward to going home and experimenting.

At my wedding to my ex.
My mom told the preacher,"god is not a republican." I almost spit out my drink.
Anyways two dangerous cults in one..🤮

(13,868 posts)We were taught it was a sin to gloat about the fact that all of our non-Catholic friends would be going to hell.
One good thing though, I went to Catholic school through the 7th grade in the 60's in South Carolina. To get ready for the coming school desegregation, they started sending the Southern nuns up North and we had a bunch of radical Northern nuns teaching us. My Dad didn't like their anti-racism and anti-war teachings, so that helped me to get to transfer to the public school in 8th grade with the normal kids.
I do think some of their teachings were a factor later in turning me from a young Confederate into a campus radical a few years later.
