Happy Father's Day

As I've just told both by daughters, "Family is my best and favorite present."

Just my opinion but maybe a bigger sense of family would help people stop hurting and killing each other. I think too many people are too quick to find an enemy rather than another family member.

Find a friend or neighbor and help them, in your heart, adopt them. Maybe not someone you love or even know well. Just help. These days are complicated and many people feel isolated. If there is a way to let some folks know that they're not alone, I'll be doing that.

Maybe someone at a protest is thirsty. Maybe a BLM protest or maybe a protest next year sometime after we all really believe that black lives really really do matter. Maybe you're an old white guy like me. Maybe you have a case of water. Maybe your neighbor is out of work like me.

Right now we need to stay home but we need to reach out. Now and then my wife tells me to watch the news to see the latest awful thing said by you know who. I usually answer that it doesn't matter to me what he said, I won't be voting for him. I'm sure that many prosecutors, judges, voters and jury members, current and future, are watching him. My method of dieting is not to avoid the fettuccine alfredo and my beloved vanilla ice cream but to try including more vegetables, salads and fruits into my diet to displace that other stuff which isn't so good. I try to do the same with what I watch.

All over there are folks that are worried about something. Maybe try to displace some worry with some encouragement.

Let folks know that you support them. Let your family know, but not only your family but more of the world.
