My old Calico, Zoey, would jump up on the computer desk within minutes of me sitting down, would stand right in front of the computer, and run her tail all over it to block my view. She would absolutely refuse to lie down and would pop right up every time I tried to make her. However, I found that when her son got up next to her, which was almost every time, she was then willing to sit in my lap and he was willing to lie down in front of the computer and all were happy.

Before I switched to Kindles, Zoey also messed with me reading books, sprawling out on them, so she didn't approve of either version.

the concept of eyesight. They know just how to get between you and the thing you are looking at. The marching across the keyboard is what drives me nuts.

back and forth on front of the computer screen to block my view. She often does a brief little 2 step, as if to say, "Oops!" when she is directly in front of the screen.

If that does not work, she hits my hand on the mouse. When I am typing, she leaves a paw on the back of my hand as it moves over the keys and stares at me.

With books, she flips the pages if the book is lying flat. If propped up in my hands, she attacks my fingers from behind the cover.

She attacks the pen when I do crosswords in the newspaper.
