I expected to see him/her (the dog) shepherd the kids and parents across the road. Interesting that s/he recognized the cars as dangerous.

Sausage, The Crossing-Guard Dog Of Batumi

January 23, 2020 17:11 GMT
By RFE/RL's Georgian Service

Kupata, a former stray whose name means "sausage" in Georgian, accompanies groups of kids as they cross the street and barks at cars to keep them away. His protective behavior has made him a celebrity in Batumi and earned him honors from the local tourist board.

He truly takes his job seriously. I want to hug him, and give him a good belly rub.

Those impatient drivers are shameful. Interesting how a canine takes the safety of the children more seriously than the humans behind the wheel. Shame on them.
