But I'm going to guess that the bird is biding its time until the shark is rendered completely helpless before eating it.

It's white, which definitely ID's it as a bald eagle. May be a juvenile, which could explain why it went after such an unlikely meal.

It looks like it's white on the top of the head, with black underneath.

Juvenile (3-5 years? ) bald eagles lack tne white plumage on the head.

I think if it had the Osprey's white chest we would have seen that but maybe not. I still vote baldie simply because the thing caught a honking shark and is holding on to it. And they are known to fish. But yeah, maybe not for certain after all.

this looks like a "regular" shark, ha ha - used to see these guys plenty, but I never paid any attention to what they might be called!!
