It is in my community band's summer repertoire. Alas due to the damn virus we have no concerts this summer 😢. Probably not this fall either 😫😩. During normal times we would have played 2 concerts tomorrow on the 4th. One before the community parade begins and one at night during fireworks. 1812 Overture anyone? And all kinds of traditional patriotic music. SO much fun. FWIW I do love my country even as screwed up as it is. And I know in the scheme of things summer band concerts are not so important. But I feel sadness and loss this summer due to the lack of band.

On a weird note, I did enjoy seeing the different embrochure formations of the clarinet players. I know, weird. My kids will heartily agree that I am a bit "unusual" 😄

Happy 4th of July everyone. Celebrate but be smart about it.
