I read where Missouri is #1 in the nation by far in per-capita fireworks expenditures, at $27/per person. Oklahoma was second at $19. No other state was close. Kansas was fifth.

(16,053 posts)Ok I can only hear it outside but its all year round. I always scratch my head at the complaining about a few days of fireworks. I didnt know it was there when I moved in. Oh well. Life goes on. All 3500 homes hear it day after day.

Seems simply you're inured to something due to environmental proximity most others aren't. Scratch your head no longer.... or change shampoos.
Thankfully, no one is arguing this ends or denies life so I'm unclear as to why you awkwardly forced that into your response.
