(12,651 posts)The fireworks used to start at least a week before the fourth. Really big aerial bombs. You could feel the concussion. The big illegal stuff could be purchased at the tribal reservations in Washington state. But with travel so curtailed this year, maybe people didnt go? Whatever the reason, its a nice change.

The smaller stuff is continuous.

(129,730 posts)I suppose that because the usual displays they've put on in the parks have been canceled, all the amateurs are out blowing stuff up in their back yards. Fortunately my cat seems unperturbed.
