We finally got our kitten!

She arrived last Sunday. She's a little Abyssinian and she's absolutely adorable. She hid for the first 4 days, but she's come out of her shell. She's really bonding with me and she's just such a joy to have around. I'd post photos but I don't know how. We still haven't named her--we want to pick a name that fits her personality. She's the first cat we've had in years. Wow, I sure missed having one around.

Standing in front of sink full of dishwater with a plate of spaghetti w/sauce chatting to sig other.

Unknowingly, kitty was eyeing the space between the cupboard and the ceiling. looking for a way up.

As we stood there kitty jumps onto my plate and launches himself up as high as his hind legs could reach.

Unfortunately, it was just short of the top of the cupboard, and he slid down into the dishwater, but not for long.

He was out of the dishpan so fast I don't think he even got wet. In his retreat he knocked the spaghetti out of my hand, upside down, onto the kitchen floor.

This all took a couple seconds.. and a name was born 'Rompy Stompy'

And super smart. I taught her to fetch an aluminum foil ball today. And she'll jump up when I snap my fingers. I need to think of some more tricks for her. And she can't get enough of me. My little girlfriend!
