To the east, the sun is out, it's raining, overhead AND to the west there's a rainbow

Great start to my day, that's for sure. We desperately need that rain and I desperately need the beauty of a rainbow.

4. There was some really frightening lightning strikes, last night

They felt, sounded and even smelled like they were VERY close to my house. The blinding flash and incredibly loud thunder crack happened almost simultaneously. TWICE, within less than a minute. When I looked out the window, this morning, I fully expected to see on of my trees had been hit - but luckily I was wrong.

Right now I can feel the next band of rain coming in. Well, the lawn is mowed, more garlic is pulled, so I say to the clouds: 'LET LOOSE!!'

I can't even begin to express how seeing this rainbow (the third in a week) helped to raise my spirits. I see it as Mother Nature's way of telling me to 'Chill Out and enjoy.'
