The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsWell, I finally pulled the trigger and went out to lunch with a friend today.
It was a gorgeous day in Michigan--the heatwave broke yesterday and it's a divine 79F and partly cloudy. I hadn't seen my friend since we went to Maui in March so we met up at my local PF Chang's. They have outdoor seating, so that's where we had lunch. It was so awesome to see June in person again instead of on Zoom. PF Chang's has a good setup even inside, but we both felt better sitting outside. Everyone everywhere was wearing masks, too. Our governor issued an executive order making them mandatory, but some folks just don't care, as we've seen. It was good to get out, but I still don't think I'll be lunching inside anytime soon.
Stay safe and have a great weekend!

(3,605 posts)Almost all of them showed people wearing them also wearing masks. I'm trying to figure out if they can be used in place of masks (in case I have to stop working from home and have to do a 4 hour commute (round trip) on public transportation.

(10,053 posts)You are lucky to have to have Whitmer as your governor, someone who goes the extra mile to keep all of you safe and makes decisions with your best interest at heart. Alas, my governor is DeSatan and I have no idea in hell when I am ever going to go out to lunch again....
