...even if I'm just walking alone to the park and don't come within 100 feet of anybody else. Don't get me wrong--I don't *enjoy* wearing the damned things. But if I'm out at all without one now, it's almost as if I've left my shoes, or glasses, or dentures, home. I don't feel dressed. I guess we can get used to anything...

(115,693 posts)or when I'm driving in my car, but otherwise if there's any chance I'll come anywhere near another person, even if only outside, I wear it. It's common for people to wear masks in Japan in public all the time. I don't understand why it's become such a big deal, except that the MAGAts have made a political issue out of it.

In all honesty, if you're walking alone in the park you really don't need a mask. It's a bit like not opening your mail for a week. Simply not needed.

i've taken to wearring a mask everywhere, and a nice Country Gentleman straw hat as my shield everywhere i go, the mask tucks into the hat if not needed...

I went back to my car, I got my mask, went in, bought stuff, and the clerk said "thank you honey for wearing a mask."
But usually I have it on before I get out of the car. It is starting to feel more normal.
