I'm starting to feel uneasy these days if I'm outside without a mask...

...even if I'm just walking alone to the park and don't come within 100 feet of anybody else. Don't get me wrong--I don't *enjoy* wearing the damned things. But if I'm out at all without one now, it's almost as if I've left my shoes, or glasses, or dentures, home. I don't feel dressed. I guess we can get used to anything...

or when I'm driving in my car, but otherwise if there's any chance I'll come anywhere near another person, even if only outside, I wear it. It's common for people to wear masks in Japan in public all the time. I don't understand why it's become such a big deal, except that the MAGAts have made a political issue out of it.

But as soon as I get ready to leave the car to go into a store the mask goes on.

In all honesty, if you're walking alone in the park you really don't need a mask. It's a bit like not opening your mail for a week. Simply not needed.

And stopped as soon as I looked around. I felt like a fool.

I went back to my car, I got my mask, went in, bought stuff, and the clerk said "thank you honey for wearing a mask."

But usually I have it on before I get out of the car. It is starting to feel more normal.
