Ever sang in a choir?

My voice isn't great but I can pick an interval; a third above, a fifth below. Singing in harmony is one of the purest joys of being a human.

1. Yup. I've sung as a child and adult in church, in choirs at school, andwhile driving.

I've read that South Koreans and the Welsh are singing fools but they got nuttin' on me!

2. Yup...

I did as a kid and then in college. Harmonies are my thing, I like it when I can find other singers to do that with but now it's even harder.

3. In chapel in boarding school. Was an alto. And yes, I remember

how much I enjoyed it .... even today

5. Sang with a choir since I was seven years old

first in my small church and then in my twenties with a community opera company. Not for years now and I do miss it.
It really is a special kind of collaboration.

6. Since I was 5 - I actually found the program for that recently!

Up until March, my husband and I would sing 3x week - Church choir rehearsal, church, and The New Ark Chorale. I also play handbells. Met my husband in 7th grade chorus. A great way to make lifelong friends. I took voice lessons from the director of the Chorale when I was 13yo. Traded lessons for babysitting his kids. I joined the group when I graduated high school. I'm 57yo now and there has been very little turnover in all those years!
