As in The Alienist, the series shines a light on the provocative issues of the era –- the corruption of institutions, income inequality, yellow press sensationalism, and the role of women in society –- themes that still resonate today.

1. Can't wait!

After watching an episode or two of the first season I devoured all of Caleb Carr's books. He can spin a yarn! Hoping this season hews closely to the book.

I read The Alienist. But I have not read Angel of Darkness. I don't think I ever knew about it honestly. Looking forward to watching this. Need to go out and buy some popcorn.
