Today.

Saw a doe on the side of the road, that had been killed by a car or truck collision.

It is pretty much inevitable to see them every summer.

Especially cats.

Couple weeks ago I saw a gorgeous dark tabby, that had been hit by a car.

Even rabbits and squirrels sadden me seeing them after getting run over.

I hope they do well out in the wild. I could never work with animals like that. I would never want to let them go.

I actually saw a young fawn in my back yard last week, lying in the sun and munching on leaves. I kept looking for a Mom, but when the fawn disappeared, I figured the Mom must have been close by. And, sure enough, a couple of days later I saw the pair of them together. They must like whatever grows in the woods behind my house...
