Sendai airport massive earthquake followed by tsunami...

from 3/11/11 - closest land point to epicenter rocks violently. people hoping to leave suddenly trapped by tsunami.

a testament to japanese engineering and social cohesion.

note: in earthquake country always hang your glass pics with 2 hangers

Those poor babies. I was wondering why the people didn't get under the tables? I'm sure they go through this a lot and know what to do, though. After it was over everyone was mostly calm. They never lose their dignity.

I didn't think earthquakes lasted that long. God Bless those people who actually lived through it. I can't image how they kept their calm.
