Just sold the northern place and going to settle in down in the South. Covid-19 knocked out our lifestyle and retirement choices. It's no longer safe to travel back and forth, as this virus is going to be a problem for several years to come. We'll see family when they can visit or once it's safe to fly again. Sad but the right choice to keep us going on a bit longer. Best thing about it is I'm a Democratic voter in Florida where my vote will count.

with an apartment downtown Raleigh where I walked to the ballet, symphony, terrific restaurants. Close to both train station and airport for travel. No worries apartment in 24 hour staffed security building. Just lock the door and go. File maintenance request online and someone is there to fix the plumbing, appliances, or HVAC at no extra cost.

Trading that for a small house with a courtyard where I can have plants, flowers, a fountain, and hang hummingbird feeders. My entertainment will be at home now.

Good luck with your move back to Florida!

though it won't be for a few years--debating staying near adult children or going where we really want to go (the southwest). I'm hoping this corona nightmare is a distant memory by then. Good luck with your move.

from a 40 year transplant.

More of us Democrats make it a much better place. I just wish we had someone like Lawton Chiles in the gov mansion.
