I don't think I've ever been this happy to be able to read work emails!!

14 weeks of furlough are finally over!

I was actually starting the process of looking for another job and considering pulling a chunk out of the 401(k)...no longer necessary.

And I am with any and all who are still furloughed, laid off or otherwise jobless or under-employed. Our govt (well, all TraitorGOP members) have failed America's workers immensely They've removed any last semblance of decency over the last 3 1/2 years. They've shown themselves to be the actual enemies of America. Their projection will no longer hold water!

I wish I could say the same. It is looking more likely that I will have to apply for social security. I had hoped to get back to work in September and I really wanted to hold off on Social Security until I turned seventy, but I got word last night that work probably won't open up until November, if it opens at the for the rest of the year. Wishing good luck to all who are in this situation. It is clear to all except brainwashed idiots that the Greedy Old Pricks party is fine with starving to death the unemployed.

I'd reached out to two former employers (both of whom I'm still on good terms) for some part-time contract work and never heard back.

Had an interview w/a another company from a referral from a former colleague and the interview went very well. Was for a couple of months of contract programming. Haven't heard back yet.

Companies aren't interested in taking on furloughed individuals and we have hundreds upon hundreds in the company still not yet called back and that $600/week has ended now.

All those billions and trillions made by hedge funds and billionaires in the stock market have done wonders for our society, eh??

Most of us know exactly what has been trickling down on us, all too well. We need to GOTV in such huge numbers that we completely smash and overwhelm the idiots who have drunk the kool aid as well as swallowed the incredible number of lies hook, line and sinker.
