I had a Brahma steer when I lived in Calif. Originally, "borrowed" him to get the horses used to seeing cattle all around us. Got attached, had to keep him. He was a beautiful cinnamon color, and so gentle. Loved carrots and peppermints. We called him Cowster.

I think most animals like to be sung to.....calms them.
